You can use a laptop without a charger. lol And there are none.
but a laptop would last top 3 hours without a charger, kinda like a console, a phone or other device?

Laptops are usually longer than 3, about 5 I want to say mine lasts. Consoles require a plug, handhelds are at max 14 with the DS Lite, and my phone lasts 6-10.

I don't like overly thin devices since I always feel they are less durable. The PS2 FAT, Nintendo 64, and Original Xbox which looks very durable since it so big, and look like a brick while the PS2 slim looks like a less durable DVD player which you bought from Wal-Mart which would break if you are not careful with it.

The Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and Original DS also look very durable compared to newer devices like the 3DS, DS lite, Gameboy Advance SP, PSP Go, iPhone 4S.

As long as they won't mess up the design like they did with the PSP Go, I am fine with a thinner PS Vita.
